I have been using FF3 since its release date. With Firefox 2 I was having several problems involving spyware, trojans, and other issues. As soon as I installed every single problem was resolved. For example websites would not stop at the right border of Firefox leading me to lose part of the page, this resolved itself with Firefox 3. Downloading attachments in Gmail would result in a blank page, again this issue is no more. These little things alone were satisfying.
As every Firefox user, I strongly depend on add-ons. One of my favorite is Tabmix Plus. Unfortunately this extension isn't available with the new version. I did find some others that replaced some of its functions, but CNET truly saved me problem with this article and the linked to extension. This in itself allowed me to use Tabmix Plus and supposedly any other add-on I miss. But here's whats better. CNET also published a long article describing the 12 'must have' Firefox extensions which mentioned how many of the odl extensions Firefox didn't update can infact be used with Firefox 3. Check this article for a list of 12 very useful add-ons and some other tips.
Most Firefox users also depend on bookmarking. At least I know I have too many bookmarks to manage, and lucky for me, Firefox 3 comes with many facilitations to organize, tag, and group bookmarks as well as create 'smart bookmarks' although those require some basic coding knowledge. "Five ways to master bookmarks in Firefox 3" provides tips and explanations of how to make the most of the available options to organize and simplify your bookmarks. This will pay off well with the awesome bar that also refers to your bookmark when you type anything in. It will then be able to refer to a tagged group or folder of bookmarks almost ensuring you will find what you are looking for.
So far Firefox has served me well. Having managed my bookmarks and installed all the extensions I need, I really cannot complain.
